Art has always been a part of my life, but I didn’t seriously pursue it until my children were grown. About 25 years ago I began lessons at our art center. I immediately fell in love with pastels. The colors are so brilliant. About 15 years ago I decided to add 3d art and began to work with pottery, both functional and artistic. Most recently I have discovered watercolors.
i think I would be considered a colorist if I were labeled. I love vibrant, strong colors.
Several years ago, I discovered that animals and birds are my favorite subject. I also joined a group called Artists and Biologists United for Nature or ABUN. We work with biologists to create beautiful artwork for their projects. Then we give them permission to use our digital images to promote their project. I have particpated in all 44 projects sincewe started. We are now working on number 45. It is so exciting to see how our art can help save animals that are endangered.
